Pep Guardiola has revealed his theory on why more people want Liverpool to win the league than Manchester City. The City boss is adamant that the country is backing the Reds to win the quadruple as the title race goes down to the final day of the season tomorrow.
The Blues will be hosting Aston Villa, and Liverpool hosting Wolves in what is set to be an exciting day of football. The main talking point going into the games has been Pep's insistence that his team are the less popular team out of the two to win the league.
If City beat Villa at the Etihad on Sunday, it'll be the club's eighth league title, and fourth under Pep. Speaking in his press conference ahead of the big day, the Spanish manager said that Liverpool has more support due to their established history.
He said: "I'm sure my English isn't good after four, five years. I said in the time you arrive in the titles, the teams with more history have more supporters."It happens in Spain and Germany and Italy.
