A FORMER drag queen living in a rural menagerie of pigs, goats, ducks and dogs may sound like a drama – but for Paul O’Grady it’s real life.
Which is why ITV is creating a reality TV show providing us with a sneak peek inside his Kent home and farm. Currently titled The Only Way is Kent – or Towik among telly insiders – it will be a series of half-hour-long shows airing later this year.
And it’s all because Covid postponed Paul’s new series about Asian elephants, which was due to be shot in Thailand this summer.
Paul regularly visits animal sanctuaries, farms and animal-loving pals in Kent. His favourite destinations include an eagle wildlife foundation, where he flies birds of prey, and an alpaca farm.
