Paul Merson has picked his combined Liverpool and Manchester City XI ahead of their big clash on Sunday. But it's bad news for England star Trent Alexander-Arnold, who doesn't make the cut.
Instead, former Arsenal and Three Lions forward Merse has gone for Kyle Walker - because he's a better defender.Merson went for Liverpool keeper Alisson in goal, with Walker joined by Virgil Van Dijk, Ruben Dias and Andrew Robertson at the back.
He also picked an all-City midfield three of Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne. And with neither team deploying an out and out centre forward on a regular basis, he has Sadio Mane up front with Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez either side.
That means no room for City trio Raheem Sterling, £100m record signing Jack Grealish nor Phil Foden. Unsung Reds heroes Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota also miss out.
