Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has explained why Manchester United are a 'million miles' away from Manchester City. United grabbed a late winner on Saturday afternoon in what could be a vital win in the Premier League as they look to secure Champions League football next season.
However, it's looking unlikely that they're going to be close to competing with neighbours Man City this year, who currently sit 12 points clear at the top of the table.
Ralf Rangnick has come in and somewhat steered the ship for United after a dismal few weeks before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked, but Merson wonders whether they've made the right decision in doing so.
The pundit argued that United are in an identity crisis, as a team who must build towards the future, but sign win-now veteran players, whilst not knowing what to do with their young talented players.
