Rio Ferdinand couldn't contain his laughter as Patrice Evra cleaned out Mo Farah at Soccer Aid. Evra won five Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League during his nine seasons Manchester United.
But he looked more like a Sunday league player as he sent four-time Olympic champion Farah flying at the London Stadium.The 41-year-old former defender got his feet all wrong as he attempted to clear a weak ball into the box from musician Tom Grennan.
After missing the ball completely with his first bite of the cherry, Evra went in again for a second go but only succeeded in wiping out Farah as he went for the ball.
Remarkably, referee Mark Clattenburg waved away Farah's appeals for a penalty as the long-distance runner jokingly made the VAR symbol with his hands.
