Residents spotted the cameras strapped to lamp posts outside Poplar Street Primary School in Audenshaw. It's not known why they've been put there, or even who installed them, sparking fears among the community as to what the footage will be used for.

In a message to parents, the school's headteacher Iain Linsdell said: "A very observant parent has spotted what look to be unauthorised video cameras strapped to lamp-posts along Ravenwood Drive.
