A six-hour wait for an ambulance will be 'commonplace' this winter, a paramedic has warned amid rising concerns over pressures on the NHS.
Health services across the country are being stretched, with an increasing number of ambulances waiting outside hospitals with patients.
Richard Webber, a paramedic and spokesman for the College of Paramedics, told the PA news agency ambulances "have become cabs" as they wait to unload patients outside hospitals.
