The colour you paint your front door can add thousands to the price of your house. That's according to a new study by Sellhousefast.uk, which took a look at how different colours impacted values for similar homes.
It found that having a blue front door added an impressive £4,000 to prices, while a brown one actually lowered values by £700.
After blue, homes with white front doors were the next priciest - at £3,400 more expensive than average. Red front doors added £1,800, black ones £1,000 and green ones £500.
Psychologist Lee Chambers said: “Colour is a powerful tool to communicate action, influence choice and even change people's mood.
