Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has praised Donny van de Beek after their loss to Watford this afternoon.
United were soundly beaten 4-1 - now losing five of their last seven games. United were kept in the game on occasions by goalkeeper David de Gea who saved two penalties to keep Ismaila Sarr out, but Watford were comfortably ahead by half-time - deserving of their two-goal lead.
Van de Beek would bring United back into contention in the second half as he scored on the 50th minute. However, United captain Harry Maguire was sent off for a second bookable offence with 20 minutes remaining and a pair of goals from Joao Pedro and Dennis put the Hornets out of sight deep into stoppage time.
