My voice is in my sword. We know the sword is our work. And I like work. Thank you for knowing that, and thanks for this," she said.
Moments before on the Oscars stage as the cast and crew accepted the best picture win, McDormand howled out in honor of the film'sproduction sound mixer Michael Wolf Snyder, who died this March. "That howling to the moon is for Wolf," McDormand told press following the win.
