Oscar-nominated Jonathan Pryce 'cast as Prince Philip in The Crown series'

Oscar-nominated Jonathan would star alongside Harry Potter legend, Imelda Staunton, who is taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.The role of Prince Philip has previously been played by Doctor Who actor Matt Smith and Tobias Menzies.
Revealing all to The Sun, a source said: "The three British actors formed a Holy Trinity of talent which shows bosses targeted to play the senior members of the royal family."Jonathan was the only name which was discussed to play Philip, and the creators were thrilled.
