OnlyFans stars are living in fear of being sentenced to prison.Since the arrest of Titus Low Kaide last October, X-rated content creators in Singapore have been put on edge in case they are next in handcuffs.

It is illegal in the conservative city state to transmit obscene materials by electronic means, or to take part in or receive profits from any business where such materials are transmitted.Anyone using OnlyFans to share explicit content in the country then is technically on the wrong side of the law.

Mark Teng, an executive director at law firm That.Legal says that it is against the law to send a nude photo of yourself, even if it is consensual.Low was taken into custody last year after police received reports that he had "transmitted images and videos of his private parts" online. In October five police officers arrived at his house to confiscate his phone, iPad and the details of his OnlyFans account, Low said.If found guilty, the 22-year-old could face two years in jail as well as a significant fine.In a nine-minute rant on YouTube, Low said that he does’t know who reported him to the authorities, or why they did so.“We only create content for people who are our age and wish to have content they want to see,” he told the BBC. “And all this is on the basis of everything is consensual.” Police later claimed Low ignored their instructions and continued posting "obscene materials" on it and on a backup channel.Low added that he depends on OnlyFans for income but police returned weeks later before finally demanding he presented himself at at the station. He said his imprisonment would drive creators underground or force them to move abroad.
