One of Scotland's first coronavirus patients still 'in agony' from Long Covid 16 months on

Scottish Government for urgent help for people suffering from Long Covid. Billy Thomson, from Cambuslang, said he was lucky to be alive coming out of an induced coma after catching the virus in March last year.

But he still can’t get an in-person appointment with his doctor to deal with constant bone pain, insomnia, fatigue, tiredness and possible Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The 60-year-old, who was in Glasgow Royal hospital for five months, said: “My GP says all they can do is up my pain relief but I don’t like taking lots of tablets.
