Prison officers have seized more than 100 PlayStations from sex offenders at a prison where Gary Glitter is serving his sentence.
Fears were raised that the gaming devices were being to swap abuse online or contact children. Convicts are banned from using the internet in prison.
But sources claimed sex offenders had smuggled in USB sticks to access the web The raid happened in an intelligence-led operation at The Verne prison, near Portland, Dorset, where paedophile rocker Gary Glitter is being held.
It's claimed officers went round the cells and removed every Playstation in the jail, which houses only sex offenders. The Sun reports a source said prison officers had confiscated the gaming machines.
