BRITISH Olympic and Paralympic teams will be invited to 'Homecoming' concerts when they return from Japan - as a thank you from the nation.
The 376 Olympic competitors and their partners will be invited to attend the lottery-funded event at Wembley on August 15. It will feature stars such as Anne-Marie, Bastille, Rag 'N' Bone Man, Griff and Laura Mvula.
It is intended as a 'national celebration' of our teams. A total of 4,000 tickets are being made available via a ballot to National Lottery players and hundreds of key workers will also be given tickets for their 'incredible work' in the pandemic.
A second event is being held for the Paralympic team on Sept 12, with further details to be released on the concert line-up.
