Variety and said: “His third act was really the best time of his life.”Norman was born in 1914 and was generally considered the world's oldest living film actor working for eight decades.He had a long and illustrious career, working alongside Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin and was the last surviving member of the Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre, whose staging of Julius Caesar won him critical acclaim.Norman was hand-picked by Alfred Hitchcock to play the title character and villain in 1942’s “Saboteur”, his on screen debut.From then on he maintained a long relationship with Hitchcock and had a supporting role as a mental patient in Spellbound.He also turned down the chance to star in critically acclaimed film Citizen Kane due to budget.
