No Time to Die‘s long-awaited London premiere heralds hopes for the revival of British cinema. The royal family were in attenance at London’s Royal Albert Hall, with Prince Charles, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall at the event.
The premiere marks the biggest British film launch since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Even as other films opted for digital releases on streaming services, Bond producers opted to repeatedly push back the release date in hopes of a worldwide launch in cinemas.
Cinema chains are hoping the return of one of the greatest icons of British cinema will provide some much-needed bums on seats when the film debuts on Thursday.
