Nigella Lawson's bizarre pronunciation of 'microwave' could win a Bafta for the most memorable moment on TV. The TV chef sent the internet into meltdown in 2020 when she mentioned the kitchen appliance on her BBC cookery show Cook Eat Repeat.

The clip, which aired on 7 December, saw the 61-year-old explain how she makes a brown butter colcannon - vegetable-filled mashed potato.

After mashing her potatoes, she went on to tell viewers the next step which involved using the microwave. She explained: "I still need a bit of milk - full fat - which I've warmed in the meecro-wah-vay." But viewers went into a frenzy after they heard how she said the word.
