Sony's TriStar Pictures has officially named Nicole Brown president of the studio label. Last year, Brown was appointed to head TriStar Pictures as executive vice president, after former head Hannah Minghella left to head motion pictures at J.J.
Abram's Bad Robot. Brownwill continue to report to motion picture group chairman Tom Rothman. Currently, TriStar's slate includes the Whitney Houston biopicI Wanna Dance With Somebody andTheWoman King,directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood andstarring Viola Davis.
Brown, who sits on the board of Women in Film, has recent credits that include TriStar titles A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Edgar Wright’s breakoutBaby Driver.
