Nicolas Anelka has played for some of Europe's top clubs. In a 20-year career he ran out for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Juventus, winning numerous titles including the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga and FA Cup along the way.
As well as that he spent more than a decade in the French national side, and was part of their Euro 2000-championship winning squad.
But he's also a controversial character. He once performed a goal celebration described by some critics as an inverted Nazi salute, and was also banned from the French national team for 18 games following a bust-up with manager Raymond Domenech during the 2010 World Cup.
