Nicola Sturgeon has lit a candle in honour of Baby Loss Awareness week. The First Minister shared on image of the candle on Twitter along with the hashtags #BabyLossAwarenessWeek #WaveofLight.
The post was shared in honour of the awareness week which aims to shed light of the trauma and heartbreak of pregnancy and baby loss.
The First Minister, who is married to SNP chief executive Peter Murrell, has previously shared her own experience with miscarriage.In 2016 she opened up about what she called the "painful" experience which happened in 2011 while she was deputy first minister.Supporters were encouraged to light a candle to mark the final night of the week.Earlier this week the First Minister shared a tweet in support of MSP Shona Robison.
