Nicola Sturgeon confirms no covid rule changes but warns NHS hospitals 'at capacity'

Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed there will be no change to Scotland's remaining coronavirus restrictions for now but warned the NHS remains under huge pressure.

The First Minister told MSPs at Holyrood today that Scotland currently has the lowest covid infection rate of the four UK nations, with case numbers well below the surge seen in late August and early September.

But the SNP leader added there had been a "slight increase" in cases in recent days.In her first regular covid statement since the end of the October recess at Holyrood, Sturgeon said there could be no room for complacency as around 600 people are being admitted to hospital with covid in Scotland every week.And she warned many hospitals were already at or close to capacity
