Newcastle star Ciaran Clark has kissed and made up with his opponent that he punched during a friendly in Saudi Arabia. The Magpies had flown to the country where their new owners are from to give them a local taste of their freshly-bought football team.But the tour has ended on a sour note after a friendly match against Al-Ittihad descended into chaos.After a tangle for the ball, Clark lashed out and punched striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, who retaliated and caused a mass brawl.Both players were sent off while Eddie Howe is expected to be furious with the 32-year-old after making headlines for all the wrong reasons - especially considering his earlier point that the trip had been hugely positive.But the Republic of Ireland international has quickly made up with Hamdallah and pictures showed the two exchanging shirts and embracing at full-time.Newcastle had won the match 2-1 after goals from Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser but the red card incident is what has garnered attention.Saudi dignitaries were in attendance to watch the match, including Her Majesty’s Ambassador Neil Crompton.With Newcastle set to return back to England, there are plenty of eyes on the club as the transfer window becomes increasingly smaller.Magpies boss Howe had previously stated that he felt that the new owners are keen to bolster the squad with Bruno Guimaraes looking set to sign from Lyon.“There is huge ambition at the club,” he said, after already landing Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood this January.“Through time, those (ambitions) will become reality, I’m sure - in terms of everything that is in the eyes and minds of the people around the club.“But the reality now is to get the best out of the team in the short-term, the long-term will take.
