It has been officially announced that Anton Du Beke will become the new judge on the Strictly Come Dancing panel this year. After it was confirmed that original judge, Bruno Tonioli, would not be returning for the 19th season of the show, due to uncertainties around restrictions, guesses began to circulate as to who would take it place.
Professional dancer Anton was one of the main runners for the coveted judge’s seat, especially after he stepped into the role for two weeks last season when Motsi Mabuse had to self-isolate.
Anton was a huge hit with the audience and now the BBC has confirmed that he will take on the role permanently, and the professional dancer himself has shared his joy at joining the judging panel.
