Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A new underpass will be built under the A77 to support a £48m housing plan on the outskirts of Ayr — if the plans get the green light by planning chiefs.

Ayrshire Live told back In October how as many as 350 new houses could be coming to Ayr — along with shops, food and drink outlets and offices near the Holmston Old Toll, on the eastern side of Holmston Roundabout.

Now Glasgow-based property consultancy firm Iceni Projects Ltd, have submitted a Planning Application in Principle to South Ayrshire Council, on behalf of their client James Craig Ltd, a firm which owns Ayr Auction Mart and land at the Old Toll.

The application is “pending consideration” on the council’s online planning portal.Developers are seeking planning permission in principle for a “residential development” for as many as 350 homes, along with class 1 “commercial developments” such as retail and class 2 “professional services” and class 3 food and drink outlets and office space, associated access, landscaping and drainage works.The site is located to the south-east of Holmston Roundabout, Ayr.Ayrshire Live can reveal that as many as 88 homes would be earmarked for affordable housing, 110 jobs will be created during the construction phase and the total cost of the build is expected to be £48m.
