NETFLIX viewers have been left seriously divided over the half-animal, half-human babies in new show Sweet Tooth. The series, produced by Robert Downey Jr, is based on the popular comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire about a post-apocalyptic future where humanity has been decimated by a pandemic.

Following the pandemic, human-animal ‘hybrids’ begin to populate the world, one of which is Gus, a young boy who is half human and half deer.

While the topical plot line has had fans hooked from the offset, there is one thing people are disagreeing on, and it's got heated on social media.

The half-human, half-animal babies in the series have caused division, as some insist they are "so cute" while others have dubbed them "terrifying".
