Chris Hemsworth

Christopher Hemsworth (born 11 August 1983) is an Australian actor. He rose to prominence playing Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series Home and Away (2004–07) before beginning a film career in Hollywood by taking on parts in the science fiction film Star Trek (2009) and the thriller A Perfect Getaway (2009).

Hemsworth went on to star in the fantasy film Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), the war film Red Dawn (2012), the action thriller Blackhat (2015), the biographical thriller In the Heart of the Sea (2015), the comedy Ghostbusters (2016), and the Men in Black film series spin-off Men in Black: International (2019). His most critically acclaimed roles include the comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and the biographical sports film Rush (2013), in which he portrayed James Hunt.

Netflix fans left baffled after watching new Chris Hemsworth movie Spiderhead

Netflix fans have been left baffled by new Chris Hemsworth movie Escape from Spiderhead.The thriller, based on George Saunders’ dystopian short story Escape from Spiderhead, was added to the streaming service on Friday (18 June), follows two prisoners who bond as they come to terms with their pasts in a state-of-the-art slammer.READ MORE: Thor: Ragnarok – Chris Hemsworth says filming was a MarvelThe pair are locked up in a prison run by a visionary played by Chris, who experiments on his subjects using mind-altering drugs.The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who directed smash-hit move Top Gun: Maverick, and is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who are responsible first two Deadpool films.The movie shot to the top of Netflix’s worldwide charts just one day after release, but some viewers took to social media to claim they only heard about the film on its day it came out.One said: “Just watched Spiderhead on Netflix, the way they did not promote this film when its their best cast and overall the directing was brilliant is very in character for Netflix." Another added: “I just heard about the movie Spiderhead two hours ago and that s*** was fire.

How did Netflix not promote it?” A third added: “Question @netflix why do u not promote #Spiderhead but would promote your other stuff which shouldn’t be named?
