Police have launched an investigation into the apparent double murder suicide, which happened in Belfast on Friday night (March 19).

According to The Irish Independent, Ken Flanagan stabbed his mother Karen, before travelling to another property to kill his girlfriend Stacey Knell.

He is then said to have taken his own life before police arrived on the scene. Neighbours claim they heard Karen shout: "I'm dying, I'm dying, it's my son!" while she was being stabbed at a property in Newtownabbey, County Antrim.Days before her death, Karen praised her son for overcoming his battle with drug addiction on social media.But it is understood that authorities had previously ordered Flanagan to stay away from his mum's house due to violent.
