In a year of incredible documentaries, the Oscars handed their Best Documentary prize to “Navalny,” a portrait of Russian opposition leader Alexi Navalny.
Currently imprisoned by the Russian government, the Oscar was accepted by director Daniel Roher and Navalny’s wife, Yulia Navalny.
