A huge asteroid is set to zip past our planet tomorrow, NASA has revealed. The asteroid, dubbed 2020 JX is estimated to measure between 46 and 100 metres in diameter.
At the higher end of that estimate, it suggests the space rock could be the same size as Big Ben! It’s set to fly past Earth at 20:02 BST tomorrow, at which point it will be around 4.6 million miles from our planet.
While that might sound far, it’s deemed a ‘close approach’ by NASA. This asteroid isn’t the only one set to pass Earth tomorrow.
According to NASA, four asteroids will skim past Earth tomorrow, although 2020 JX is the largest. Thankfully, the chances of 2020 JX colliding with Earth are extremely low.
