NAGA Munchetty left BBC Breakfast guest and award-winning crime writer Sir Ian Rankin lost for words yesterday when talking about his new book.
Ian joined hosts Naga and Charlie Stayt on Thursday's show to discuss DI Rebus returning soon in the author's 24th book in the series.
But when Ian mentioned he and his wife were planning a break next year, Naga surprised the author by calling her "awful." The author said: "We were meant to take a year off and go travelling but Covid got in the way. "So she said, 'Next year, no writing, no festivals, no tours, just travelling, just holidays'.
So I'm kind of looking forward to that." Naga then replied: "She sounds like an awful wife doesn't she."
