Mum unsure about teacher's 'cheeky' Christmas request - but many agree it's 'wrong'

When it comes to Christmas, many families like to get a gift for their children's teachers, though of course, this is not required.

One mum has recently arranged for the parents in her little one's class to each put in £10 so that the teacher can get herself something nice.

This in total would bring in about £150 and the parent in turn asked the teacher what she'd like them to buy her with that money.

The teacher is said to have picked out a pair of designer shoes. A different parent from the school, who also happens to be a teacher, was unsure how to feel about this and has taken to Mumsnet to speak to others about whether or not this is "cheeky".
