A drink-driver has been jailed for three years for a collision which killed 24-year-old pedestrian Kristian Johnson.Emily Rogers, 20, was over the drink-drive limit when her Suzuki Alto hit Kristian on Market Street, Bacup, just after 1am on June 17, 2019.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.Rogers, of Greensnook Lane, Bacup, admitted causing death by careless driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.She was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday to four-and-a-half years in prison, which was reduced to three years as a result of her early guilty plea.She was disqualified from driving for four-and-a-half years.Kristian’s mum, Paula Johnson, paid a heartfelt tribute to her only son.She said: “Kristian was my only son.
