The mum of a Scots teen living with a life debilitating liver disease after it is believed she contracted Hepatitis A from infected seafood has opened up on her child's 'devastating' illness.
Kai McCulloch, 13, was just seven years old when they ate fish while on a family holiday in Mallorca in 2015.After returning home to Scotland, Kai became extremely unwell and developed serious stomach pains and suffered nose bleeds.
The family attended A&E regularly to try and work out what was wrong but could get no answers. Eventually a specialist doctor organised a biopsy to determine if they had Hepatitis A.
