Mum has 'faith in humanity restored' after trip to local chippy

A woman has been praised for a random act of kindness that left a struggling mum "speechless". A family had gone in to their local fish and chip takeaway for a treat after a rough week and were left blown away after hearing from staff that a thoughtful stranger had paid for their entire order.

The good Samaritan had paid for the family's food and then left the take-away - so the family are appealing for the woman to get in touch with them so they can thank her properly, reports the LivepoolEcho.

The mum took to Facebook to try and track down the kind Samaritan and wrote: "Just want to put a thank you post on here and hope it reaches the lovely woman.

Myself and my cousin were just at Haydock Plaice chippy on Sherlock Ave [in St Helens, Merseyside] with the kids in the prams. Read more: Three missing children - who were thought to be in London - found safe and well "We ordered ours and the kids' meals and waited outside.
