A mum found dead at home by her five-year-old son had been "broken" by the coronavirus lockdown, her brother has said. David Simms has paid tribute to his tragic sister Katie, 32, who was found unresponsive in her living room on Monday, September 28, by her only son Archie.

David, from Coalville, said his sister had been broken by the coronavirus lockdown as she could not visit their parents, reports NorthantsLive.

Police attended the scene in Kettering and said the death is not being treated as suspicious while a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Mr Simms said Katie had been "struggling" for a number of years after their older brother Barry Gunn died in 2015. Barry had served in the army with The Royal Anglian Regiment.
