A mum who stockpiled food at the start of the coronavirus pandemic has been forced to bin piles of rotting food - but still vows to keep stripping shelves.

Factory worker Emmie Shute, 47, has just three mouths to feed, but says the pandemic outbreak in the UK sent her straight to the shops.

Emmie splurged a whopping £250 on food - much of which was perishable and has now gone off - leaving her with no choice but to dump it.

The stockpiling mum says she now spends £100 a week on shopping - and throws away around 10% of what she spends. Despite this, Emmie says she feels no guilt in throwing away food while others maybe going without.
