She left mum Shirley for dead on the floor of her home in Canterbury, Kent, and later told police she had found her already dead when she arrived.
The pensioner miraculously survived the savage attack. A jury took just 13 minutes to find her guilty of attempted murder before she was sentenced to an indefinite period in a secure mental health facility.
