gunmen reportedly opened fire on a crowd near a car show.The victims, which included four men and three women, have all been taken to hospital following the incident at Peck Park in the San Pedro district of Los Angeles, California.The Los Angeles Police Department ('LAPD') have now issued a citywide alert in response to the shooting, which took place at approximately 3:50pm local time (11:50pm UK time) on Sunday (July 24).A full statement of the incident has not yet been issued from their office, though unconfirmed local reports say police scanners were describing multiple gunmen wearing bulletproof vests.

A tweet from the LAPD at 1:37am UK time said: "Around 3:50 p.m. Harbor Division officers responded to 911 calls of a shooting with multiple victims at Peck Park.

NOT an active shooter situation. PIO is enroute. Unknown number or condition of victims at this time."No active shooters are said to remain at the scene, while two of the victims are now understood to be in a critical condition.A statement from Los Angeles Fire Department additionally confirmed all the injured had been evacuated from the scene, and read: “At least three of the patients are confirmed to have sustained gunshot injury, including one male and one female, both transported in critical condition.“There are no other patients remaining at the scene.
