Multi-marathon challenge will help families in Lanarkshire put food on table

A big-hearted railworker is tracking a route south to help families facing financial hardship in North Lanarkshire.Del O’Reilly, from Newmains, will be running from Scotland to England.When it comes to taking on a charity challenges, Del doesn’t do things in half measures, as he will attempt to run, at times walking, the equivalent of more than three marathons in the space of 24 hours.He has already brought in more than £770 in donations, which is to be passed on to local food banks to ensure families can put food on the table with the cost of living crisis leaving an ever-increasing number of people struggling to make ends meet.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
