As the original 1978 Halloween is my favourite horror flick, I was psyched for 2018’s sequel, with Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter back on board.
Sadly, the series’ resurrection was more flawed than fearsomely fantastic, as misplaced humour and a brutal Michael Myers more akin to Rob Zombie’s doomed take on the slasher icon hindered its positive steps.
Kills picks up right from where its predecessor left off as Curtis’ Laurie Strode and daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) soon realise Myers (James Jude Courtney) is still alive and stabbing.
