Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) were called to the scene shortly before 8pm on Saturday, July 24. The North Wales Police drone unit was summoned to help locate the casualty, reports North Wales Live.
The person was reported unconscious and not breathing, and were airlifted to hospital. The casualty was then pronounced dead on arrival.
Team members discovered they had fallen '25 to 30 metres' - almost 100ft - on the lower slopes of Crib Goch’s north ridge, which has seen numerous tragedies over the years.
