Morrisons will scrap their home delivery service in 50 of its stores from the start of October. The cuts will also see around 1,400 of workers affected, with hundreds being offered voluntary redundancy.
The supermarket giant is making the change in stores throughout the UK, reports The Mirror. The change comes after Morrisons were forced to increase the number of deliveries throughout the pandemic as many were unable to visit stores for their weekly shops.
The supermarket's home delivery service was scaled up for the last 18-months to meet customer demands, but many stores are now reverting back to pre-pandemic staffing.
