Morrisons has explained the lack of a popular product on supermarket shelves after shoppers aired their frustrations around not being able to find it.
Customers struggled to get their hands on tomatoes while doing their grocery shopping this week, with shelves in the fruit and vegetable aisles of Morrisons, Aldi and Tesco being bare.
Many shoppers have taken to social media to complain about how they have been unable to find specific salad items. One shopper said: "Tesco extra today.
Serious lack of fresh produce. Only wanted tomatoes and there were none. Went to Aldi next door - none. Waitrose only had a couple of packs." Morrisons has now provided an answer that might explain the lack of produce, but they've warned that the shortage may last for a few more days.
