The impact the pandemic has had on Trafford’s schools has been revealed in a new report.A total of 93 schools have had to send children and their associated bubbles home due to coronavirus cases, with more than 9,000 individual students and 220 staff affected since September.The report, presented to Trafford council’s pandemic scrutiny committee, showed that 376 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed across the borough’s schools.As a result of these cases, a total of 9,205 pupils were sent home to isolate across early years education, primary schools and secondary schools in the borough.A total of 189 pupils were sent home from early years education settings, 3,262 from primary schools and 5,754 from secondary schools.And 225 members of staff.
