More than 126k self-employed Scots claim an average of £2,500 from SEISS financial support scheme

UK Government support to protect and support jobs across the country. More than 79,000 loans have supported businesses across all sectors, protecting jobs.

The retail and construction sectors have benefited the most, demonstrating how support helped those businesses that were impacted hardest by the coronavirus pandemic, helping to keep people in work.

Similarly, 126,000 Scots have received financial help from the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS), making an average claim of £2,500.

Over 76,000 loans worth more than £2.1 billion have also been offered under the Bounce Bank Loans Scheme. And more than 3,300 loans worth £758 million have been offered under the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme.
