The Modern Music Masters book series has launched its seventh title: Paul Weller - The Solo Years. The series by Tom Boniface-Webb, which documents the careers of iconic musical acts in the context of political and social environments of their time, now offers the story of influential Britpop artist Paul Weller.
Undoubtedly one of Britain's greatest songwriters, Paul Weller made his start in the music scene aged just 19 years old as part of mod/punk upstarts The Jam.
Following their break-up Weller launched The Style Council, and later went solo - becoming one of the most successful acts in UK chart history and inspiring many more artists who came after, earning his name as The Modfather.
