Mis-Teeq singer Sabrina Washington has told racists to “judge me on my talent and personality, not my skin colour” after she received abuse on social media following her performance at the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
Last week the former I’m A Celeb star, 42, performed the National Anthem ahead of the rugby tournament final between Castleford Tigers and St Helens, as well as the hymn Abide With Me.
Sabrina’s performance was broadcast on TV and after she was subject to a torrent of trolling on Twitter afterwards. One person wrote: “Challenge cup final about to start and ‘Abide with me’ absolutely rubbish and ruined by someone called Sabrina Washington but of course she is the right colour!
