Brits have been warned not to book summer holidays yet - as a "green list" of countries for quarantine-free travel is due within days.
Cabinet minister Liz Truss admitted it'd been a "tough year" and families want to book a foreign break, but said they should "wait until we make that announcement".
Green, amber and red lists of countries for foreign travel from May 17 are expected to be published this week and reviewed regularly.
Brits returning from red list nations will have to quarantine in £1,750-a-head hotels while those returning from amber list nations will need to self-isolate for 10 days at home.
