Miley Cyrus Cancels Bushfire Benefit Concert Due to Coronavirus Concerns

An all-star Australian bushfire benefit concert is the latest to succumb to the global health crisis. Miley Cyrus was due to headline the World Tour Bushfire Relief concert at Melbourne’s Lakeside Stadium this Friday (March 13), with a bill featuring Lil Nas X, The Veronicas and Seb Fontaine.

The U.S. pop star, however, won’t make the trip due to the coronavirus outbreak and the concert “can no longer go ahead,” reads a statement issued Tuesday (March 10) by TEG Dainty, co-producer of the show. “I am so disappointed to not be there, but I have to do what is right to protect the health and safety of my band and crew,” reads a message from Cyrus. “I will still be making a donation to help the victims of the Australian bush fire.
